The Committee is a collection of three sculptural figures created as my final university project. Emerging from blob-like forms, the multi-headed figures embody feelings of uncertainty, emotional weight, and the pressure of navigating life as both a student and an emerging artist.
The work reflects the challenge of balancing multiple identities, including artist, professional, individual, and friend, while negotiating competition, ambition, and fears surrounding the loss of community beyond university life. The clustered heads and swelling forms suggest the sensation of being "fit to burst" with emotion, thought, and responsibility.

Covered in crystalline glazes, the surfaces become symbolic of blossoming opportunities, relationships, and personal growth. Through The Committee, I explore the tension between anxiety and possibility, capturing a moment suspended between uncertainty and becoming.
