Conditions for Continuity explores the methodical processes and systems I observe within the world and within human relationships. The work considers how connection is often shaped by hidden expectations, boundaries, and unspoken terms.

Formed from interlinked porcelain chains, the sculpture reflects the fragile and interconnected nature of relationships. The repeated links suggest continuity and dependence, where individual parts rely upon one another to remain whole.

One broken chain interrupts this continuity, symbolising the strain that can emerge when expectations cannot be met or conditions go unfulfilled. Through this disruption, the work reflects how relationships may weaken, fracture, or come to an end.
